EXHIBITION:
I, TOO, OVERFLOW;
WITH KRISTÍNA HAVIAROVÁ AT HOTEL L
I, too, overflow; is the first part of a series of exhibitions by Kristína Haviarová & Sonni Scheuringer.
Within the “Perfect Girl” series, the relationship to our own body is being explored – the demands on its appearance and functionality – both in a theoretical/linguistic as well as in an artistic way: wet and wordy.
The display of artworks is considered a lively exchange and conversation between the two artists.
“(…) the porousness of the embodied subjects, where bodies are leaky, breathing, lubricating, melting, menstruating and transfusing, always in the process of self-making via the way they connect to each other.”
or, as Hélène Cixous writes:
“I, too, overflow; my desires have invented new desires, my body knows unheard-of songs. Time and again I, too, have felt so full of luminous torrents that I could burst – (…)”
